Circus Arts Initiation Workshop

Circus Arts Initiation Workshop

We offer 3 different formulas to better meet your needs: open, directed and adapted

DIRECTED FORMULA

Ideal for groups of children such as day camps, schools, libraries, daycares, etc. – from 1 year.

During our workshops, the artists guide the children, in the form of guided games, to discover several different circus disciplines among: slackline, balance games, flower sticks, Chinese plates, juggling, hoops, etc. The service includes a presentation and a short circus demonstration by the artists if the time allows it.

COVID Sanitary measures : We follow government recommandation by applying strict hygiene and distancing measures :

Covid-proof
  • disinfection of equipment between each bubble-group of children
  • 2M distancing at all time or wearing a mask when this is not possible
  • outdoor workshop (except in case of rain)

Ratio: 1 artist for 12 to 15 children maximum for the 6 years or more, and 8 to 10 children maximum for the 1 to 5 years.

Organization: We recommend workshop periods between 45 minutes and 2 hours per group.

For large groups: In order to reduce costs for your organization, rather than meeting all the children at the same time with a large number of artists, we can meet them over several consecutive periods in small groups with a smaller volume of artists. Each artist meets a group, the others who wait their turn will be left in your care.

Example for a total of 90 children who have 6 years or more : we divide them into 6 groups of 15 children who will be met by 1 artist:

  • 9 am to 10 am : Group 1
  • 10 am to 11 am : Group 2
  • 11 am to 12 pm : Group 3
  • LUNCH
  • 12.30 pm to 1.30 p.m : Group 4
  • 1.30 pm to to 2.30pm : Group 5
  • 2.30 pm to 3.30pm : Group 6

Technical needs: A clean and unobstructed 20′ 30, (min. 10′ x 15′) space per artist outdoors (or indoors in case of rain).

ADAPTED FORMULA

Designed to better meet people with special needs

Our adapted circus initiation workshops highlight the capacities of the participants rather than their disabilities. Our artists have a great sensitivity and know how to follow the rhythm and the needs of the participants.

We guide them individually so that everyone, actor or spectator, can have fun and learn something at the end of the workshop, all in a relaxed atmosphere. The circus is a great therapeutic, educational and social cohesion tool that has the strength to bring people together.

We bring a wide variety of circus equipment to be able to please and adapt to all (balance games, flower sticks, Chinese plates, juggling, scarves, balls, hoops, slackline etc …).

Ratio: 1 artist for 8 to 10 participants maximum + accompanying persons if necessary

Artists can be costumed, dressed colorful or simply wear a Cirkazou sweater.

  • 1 clean and unobstructed space 20′ x 30′ (minimum 10’x15 ‘) per artist

Cirkazou, it’s great. I have been to their “initiation to the circus” twice and I am delighted. Always professional, the 2 “clowns” bring happiness to young and old. Very artistic make-up, comical balloons, juggling, and a lot of talent. Keep up girls, you are TERRIFIC! Cirkazou is synonymous with PLEASURE and LAUGHS
